The University of Ottawa Toastmasters Club will be offering a 7 week introductory course in presentations.

Toastmasters is the world's largest organisation devoted to the development of public speaking.

The program works on the basis of clubs where members help each other to improve both as speakers and as leaders.

In the Ottawa area alone, there are nearly 80 clubs of roughly 20 members each.

In a typical Toastmasters meeting, members will participate in one of three aspects

Guests are welcome to attend any meeting hosted by the club as well as to particpate in the impromptu speech session known as Table Topics.

In a typical Toastmasters meeting, members will participate in one of three aspects Prepared Speeches (These are based on objectives provided from speech manuals) Speech Evaluations Impromptu Speeches Guests are welcome to attend any meeting hosted by the club as well as to particpate in the impromptu speech session known as Table Topics.
